Bardic Chaos Magick 4

   Posted by: Birch   in Announcements

Merry Meet

I have some snippets and leftovers for you lost in the scramble for last
class. Having heard butchering attempts to produce the names of the Hebraic
portions of Gods names I would like to throw forth the proper notes in hopes
they will disseminate into the community and cause change.
EHEIEH (ay-hey-yay)=B
EL (ehl)=G
ADONAI (adon-eye)=F
AGLA (agla)=E
YHVH (yod-hey-vau-hey)=C

K that said, I start this lesson off with a re-claimer, which as you might
imagine is different than a dis-claimer.
All material in the Circle-Bee course is the odd re-thinkings of Birch Tree
aka Phil Free and as such all methods are entirely new writings on old ideas
originated here no part is directly plagiarized from any one source or any
combined sources and thus become the property of the originator.
And since Property Is Theft I herby and clearly release it all with Birch’s
@ copyright.
If you find yourself a teacher or in the position to teach these methods and
think you can you are free to do so at your will.
SO Mote It Be

Another Moon approaches an time comes to wake the seeds. The thing which
wakes the seeds is a shift in the frequency of our sphere. Barely detectable
but the increase in light, the shifting of the earth change the frequency
and the frequency changes the rhythm of it all. Called the heartbeat of the
mother and with Spring comes the quickening of her heart.
As has been previously stated the harmonic response of the human body when
exposed to a good pounding throbbing drumbeat is that we move to compensate.
Our heart to match the rhythm.
I find a good dose of Punkrock will get me out of bed on the worst of days
hurling fume and fury from the very depths of my soul when moments before i
couldn’t find the coffee.
However some of the Magick of rhythm is perhaps lost on our culture and is
only utilized to a minimal extent because we are an impatient culture and
want everything to quickly.
To an amerikkkan mind the same drumbeat goin on and on without shifting is
called ‘boring’ and ‘repetitious’, to the Shaman that same type of beat is
called ‘trance inducing’

It was in western culture however that we can see the most dramatic examples
of the Magick of rhythm and it was in Rock n Roll, The return of the Drum.
Previous types of music held the drum to the backdrop, i classical the drum
comes in only as filler on progressions and changes but comes RnR the drum
comes up front and things like solos.
The early enemies of RnR give us our most dramatic examples in their
rantings of this power. The talked about the Devils music as having the
power to cause un-controllable movement, swaying, dancing and perverted
gyrations and you know how it is when a beat catches you, your foot taps
without even noticing it.
In my day we found the power of fast music with a pounding rhythm, quite
repititious gave us the super human power to leap from tall speakers without
fear of falling, the truly hardcore would do it backwards, would drive us to
riot and clash with police without fear and of course the slam dance, which
only looks violent and painful until your in it. The pain does not set in
till the music is gone and even then the power of the music lasts till
morning.

Historically we know of the strange way our ancestors fought war up until
the Civil War. Remember the patriot poster grilled into all american brains,
a drummer, a flute and a flag….hmmm do they even have guns….hmmm???
The power of rhythm to compel men to march over long distances without
fatigue was long used but a little side line in that technique. The drumbeat
needed to continue into the battle without breaking any break in the rhythm
caused the soldier to react. As such the drummer in these ancient battles
was a preferred target, almost as effective a target for breaking an armies
morale as the General himself, who was usually much farther away and harder
to hit. It seems this practice started somewhere around the colonial periods
and lasted until through the Civil War. In modern times it seems the
practice is not altogether lost as soldiers routinely engage in rhythmic
chants and songs during marches and long runs.
The point for our purposes is the ability of rhythm to cause movement, to
change flows and overcome resistance.

If we listen to Native American music or most indigenous drumming we find a
constant beat, many other rhythms and types of percussion in the middle but
the backbeat tends to stay the same throughout at least most often.
Steady rhythms restore and balance the bodies rhythms. A form of classical
music is used for heart patients called Baroque and they say it’s even used
in heart surgery.

The technique for Magick is as always “where attention goes energy flows”,
Concentrate on a beat (in your head if you can) follow the beat as if it is
taking you somewhere and you will feel yourself just go there at some point
to a point into your self.

It is said rhythms activate the spleen and base chakras.
In Voudoun rituals the concept of the drums used to block out the rational
mind, to activate sexual centers which as you know blocks out the rational
mind.

Rattles=used to link waking consciousness to the consciousness of the
universe to release energy and power for cleansing and healing. To shake
loose this mortal coil, to shake loose energy patterns and habits. This is
why so many people get rattles shaken around them in a counter clockwise
circle.

Symbols, Bells etc awaken some energies while scaring away others, used for
scaring away evil and for some reason fairies don’t like you ringing bells
in the forest. Bells and symbols are also often used to mark points of the
progression of the beat.

Now this is a study hard to study and we must do to understand such things.
So from your data we will draw any further studies of rhythm.
Assignment-Acquire rhythms and assign them to be experimented with for
varying intents. In other words to evoke specific feelings or emotions.
Either drum them yourself or find random music’s, drum tracks.
Find some shamanic music and listen with great intent, see if you can find
these techniques in use and a way to use them. Be creative with them.
Let us know what you find.

This class will have to be a bit shorter than usual (whatever that is) as I
have spent so much time concentrating on music and the Magick there-of that
my attention going has caused some energy to flow and now all the sudden I
have Gigs with a former band mate of mine, the first is this weekend so
allot of my music focus is going there this week. We have not gotten a call
to play together in quite a while so i take it as a direct manifestation of
these works in an odd way.

Blessed Be
Birch
